The Broker — The Short Version
Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It suggests the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that coverage is solid.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from a single account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is available for algo traders but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly coming. That should make the platform set when it arrives.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
This is the area where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. The point is they invested in proper execution. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket offer execution like this.
Regulation
This is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.
But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You fund your account, TabTrade add bonus funds. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before funding.
